About THE AUTHOR

Mike Padden, in his 34-year career as a civil and criminal law litigator, has handled many high-profile civil rights cases. Both his Ira Stafford and Terrance Franklin civil rights cases are listed in the George Floyd complaint. He has tried over 100 cases to jury verdict, securing many not guilty and other favorable results in criminal cases, insurance cases, and other civil cases. He received his undergraduate degree in business from Northern Illinois University (NIU) in Dekalb, Illinois and his law degree from St. Paul's Hamline University School of Law. This book is devoted to the memory of his friend and long time mentor, Vincent Bugliosi (Helter Skelter: The True Story of Manson Murders). Mike is proud of his membership in NIU's Athletics Hall of Fame having been inducted in 2009.
